ROSA & RICARDO AS A PART OF CACAO PRODUCING COMMUNITY

Rosa and Ricardo are two high school students from a small cacao producing community called Tesoro Escondido, located in the heart of the Ecuadorian Chocó. It is also home to one of the best cacao in Ecuador and the critically endangered Brownheaded spider monkey. This region suffers from extreme poverty and intense deforestation but the producers fight on a daily basis to resolve the social, economic and environmental issues that exist in the Chocó. Rosa and Ricardo will be joining us for the whole month of November to learn about chocolate making, the day-to-day activities of a chocolate company and the projects we develop with our producing communities. We hope that they will be able to take this new knowledge back to Tesoro Escondido and start making quality chocolate too!
